Thankful in Pleasant Grove (Our November newsletter!)

"Hi. We are here delivering boxes of Thanksgiving dinner." The responses were varied as the boxes were distributed to various apartment complexes across south Dallas. I was privileged to go out with my oldest, Clara, and two other young girls. Mark and Brendan made up another team. We saw some tears of joy at being provided a turkey and food, some disbelief that it was free, but all eagerly accepted our offer of prayer. 1,500 boxes were distributed by over 500 volunteers and 30 churches working together for the gospel. The fruit of this outreach is still coming in. Even in the roughest of neighborhoods the harvest is ready and fields are ripe. Our goal is Ireland, but we are blessed by God to be able to serve while we are waiting on His provision. Thank you all for your generous support of us this year. Thanksgiving was even more precious this year as we prayed for each of you. Thank you for all your prayers for our support development. God is answering them in His perfect time and giving us faith and encouragement along the journey.

Clara and Carrie were also blessed to be able to help at a Operation Christmas Child processing plant with Calvary Baptist youth. Seeing all of the boxes to be sent to children all over the world and being part of a small portion was overwhelming. God has such opportunities and plans for us all if we just ask Him and step up in obedience.

Are we there yet?

In the past few weeks, we have had some generous commitments from churches and individuals.Since our last newsletter, we have reached 35% of our monthly support pledged!!! We need to reach 75% in order to attend exit training in Kansas City next summer.

Please Pray...

  • That God would work in the hearts of people to support international and cross-cultural ministry.

  • For stamina for Mark and Carrie in the marathon of preparation.

  • The fields in Ireland. That God would prepare people to receive the Gospel.

  • Europe needs more workers. Pray for God to raise up more workers.
